On Oct. 3, 2024, the Kansas Corporation Commission issued a Final Order changing rates for Kansas Gas Service customers. This adjustment is necessary to recover the investments made to maintain a safe and reliable pipeline system. New rates will go into effect on Nov. 1, 2024.

Why are you raising rates?
This adjustment is necessary to recover the investments made to maintain a safe, reliable and environmentally responsible natural gas distribution system across Kansas.
Kansas Gas Service pays for investments in its pipeline system up front. To continue to invest in the system, the company must recover a portion of these costs and earn a fair return on that investment.
We understand the increased financial pressures everyone is facing today. Our employees work hard to manage our expenses to help keep energy costs at reasonable rates. -
What will be the impact on my bill?
New rates will go into effect on Nov. 1, 2024. Below, you’ll find the new service and delivery charges, including the approved rate increases. It also outlines the monthly increase you’ll see on your bills.
