The 2024 Sustainability Report covers Kansas Gas Service’s metrics from 2023 and covers our progress toward this vision, showcasing our continued commitment to safe operations, responsible environmental stewardship and supporting employees and the communities we serve. 

The report outlines the benefits of natural gas, environmental sustainability efforts, Kansas Gas Service safety and system integrity, our social commitment, and leadership and governance. Each of these areas remains key to our efforts to implement sustainable practices in everything we do.

Our Kansas co-workers take an active role in supporting our customers and communities. Here are just a few of the ways we gave back in 2024:

• In Kansas, our employees assembled and distributed more than 3,330 weatherization kits to non-profits across the state. Learn more on page 49.
• Kansas Gas Service employees and family members came together in Wichita to participate in a Juneteenth Celebration, celebrating the annual holiday that commemorates the end of slavery in the U.S. Read more on page 37.
• CAPABLE, ONE Gas’ Employee Resource Group which supports people with disabilities and their caregivers, hosted a Dining in the Dark event to raise awareness for individuals who experience vision loss. Learn more on page 41.
• Kansas Gas Service supported Kansas Governor Laura Kelly’s decision to sign the Safe Digging Month Proclamation declaring April Safe Digging Month. Read more on page 50.
