OVERLAND PARK, Kan. –July 6, 2015 – ONE Gas, Inc. (NYSE: OGS) announced that its Kansas Gas Service division recently presented the Geary Community Schools Foundation with a $2,500 grant from the ONE Gas Foundation.
Margie Pinaire, Director of Geary Community Schools Foundation, says the grant will assist in providing Junction City High School students with technology and equipment for its Career and College Prep Center. “Our goal is to help students navigate their roadmap to the future. Additional ThinkPads will give more students access to the tools needed to create resumes, write essays, complete college applications and seek scholarship and financial aid opportunities.
Kansas Gas Service Community Relations Manager James Lambert says Kansas Gas Service recognizes the importance of technology in today’s classroom. “Technology has become critical to a student’s educational experience, and we’re pleased to support Junction City High School in their efforts to help improve students’ education.”
The ONE Gas Public School Foundation Grant Program is designed to assist schools in developing and enhancing programs to improve the learning experience for K-12 students.
